Who is Arenal Belgians?

Phil Camera is the owner, handler, and trainer.

I never showed nor trialed my first Belgian but with my second I am committed to proving his versatility as well as learning as much as possible about breeding to improve the breed.  Phil

Why Arenal Belgians?

Just beginning in Conformation and Performance Venues as well as breeding, Arenal's mission is to prove the versatility of the breed as well as participate in select breedings that will promote sound health, structure, and temperament.

Where is Arenal Belgians?

Located in Lockport, Illinois (35 miles SW of Chicago)

Arenal Belgians resides on 5 acres of land which allows ample room for exercise as well as training.  The 2 acre "back forty" contains a 3/4 sized Agility ring and the surrounding area has been left to overgrow which provides very convenient Tracking training.

Many experienced trainers and training facilities are located in our Chicago/Midwest area which we take full advantage.

What is a Belgian Sheepdog?

The first impression of the Belgian Sheepdog is that of a well balanced, square dog, elegant in appearance, with an exceedingly proud carriage of the head and neck. He is a strong agile, well muscled animal, alert and full of life. Motion should be smooth, free, and easy, seemingly never tiring, exhibiting facility of movement rather than a hard driving action. The Belgian Sheepdog should reflect the qualities of intelligence, courage, alertness, and devotion to master.
